Master Bedroom

Home Assistant Tab: Master Bedroom

Purpose

This tab manages all of the devices and related activities for our master bedroom. It currently contains three cards:

• Salt Lamp
• Climate
• Bathroom Fans

Also in the same package (but invisible to the UI), we define a Bayesian Sensor to track if we're in bed.

Salt Lamp

Purpose:

With this card, we have access to the salt lamp on my bedside table (made possible via a Sonoff Basic). In addition to the switch itself, there's also a sleep timer.

Climate

Purpose:

This card shows a single climate sensor (built with a Wemos D1 Mini and a BME280 temperature/humidity/pressure sensor running Tasmota). In addition to providing climate information on the master bedroom outright, these values are used to calculate average temperature and average humidity.

Bathroom Fans

Purpose:

We've replaced our two bathroom fan switches (one for the bathroom itself and one for the toilet room) with Z-Wave switches, allowing for easier access via automations and Alexa.
